He has a very strong business education founded in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Communications Management form the Naval Postgraduate School. He is accredited by the Association of Proposal Management Professionals.
His government service incorporated wide ranging naval service including three commands at sea. These honed his understanding of human motivations and effective leadership communications. His overseas postings sharpened his ability to interact effectively with decision makers from diverse contextual perspectives.
His corporate experience includes operation and business development roles culminating as Enterprise Vice President for a 600 person business unit which he grew from a 30 employee beginning. These roles sharpened skills necessary to represent corporate capabilities in a manner that facilitates positive decision outcomes.
ALANSA clients appreciate the regular knowledge updates that he brings to each client commitment. He is a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals, the National Contract Management Association, American Writers and Artists, Inc, and the eMarketing Association. He maintains intimate knowledge of current federal government contracting activities and trends through membership in the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) as well as various other professional information activities.
Alan has an active TS security clearance.
